อียองแอ (Lee Young Ae) เกิดเมื่อวันที่ 31 มกราคม 1971 เป็นนักแสดงสัญชาติเกาหลีที่เริ่มต้นเข้าสู่เส้นทางบันเทิงด้วยการเป็นนางแบบโฆษณาทางโทรทัศน์ในช่วงปี 1991 ก่อนที่จะได้ชิมลางงานแสดงครั้งแรกผ่านซีรีส์เดบิวต์เรื่อง How Is Your Husband? ในปี 1993 และปรากฏตัวในผลงานภาพยนตร์เรื่องแรกอย่าง Inshalla ในปี 1997 กระทั่งแจ้งเกิดจากผลงานซีรีส์ดังตลอดกาล A Jewel in the Palace (2003) หรือ แดจังกึม จอมนางแห่งวังหลวง จนทำให้เธอกลายเป็นนักแสดงเกาหลีขวัญใจคอซีรีส์ทั่วเอเชีย ตามมาด้วยผลงานตอกย้ำฝีมือการแสดงกับภาพยนตร์ Sympathy for Lady Vengeance (2005) ที่ทำให้เธอคว้ารางวัลการันตีคุณภาพมากมาย
